New life to polluted river

The new hydropower plant in the Drammenselva River will be built on a contaminated former industrial site. Sweco has prepared a total plan for how excavated soil from the hydropower expansion can be used locally to give new life to the river.

Improved flood protection in Poland

Sweco has been given the task to raise the level of safety around the dams in the Nysa Klodzka River region in Poland. The end result will be a modern flood protection system in which a fish ladder has been included to facilitate fish migration.

Ingenious solution for cooling and heating

Sweco has created a solution for eco-friendly energy supply at Arlanda Airport. Through the development of a thermal energy storage facility it is now possible to store heat from the summer for later use in the winter, and conversely to store cold in the winter for use in the following summer.
